Since 1962, Fig Tree Gallery has promoted contemporary art and shared its endless permutations with fellow artists and patrons. The oldest continually existing artist cooperative in the United States, we moved three times before locating to our present address in 2005. Situated in the Cultural Arts District of downtown Fresno, we are neighbors to 3 galleries: Gallery 25, Silva/Salazar, and The Corridor 2121. The Metropolitan Museum, Artes America and the African American Museum are just blocks away. Many of our member artists have established studios in the area. With the revitalization of downtown Fresno and the advent of Arthop, Fig Tree plays plays a pivotal role in the cultural growth our city currently enjoys.
