Artist’s Biography

Kenneth Owens is an instructor Emeritus at Fresno City College where he taught for thirty eight years. He taught primarily Sculpture, Art History, Life Drawing, Honors Art History, and Honors Colloquium.

He has also served as Chairman of the Art Department.

Mr. Owens received both his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and his Master of Arts in Fine Art degrees from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. He has done extensive post-graduate work in art at the University of California at Berkeley and at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland.

He has also studied wood sculpture and sumi painting from masters of these arts while a three year resident of Kamakura Japan.

Mr. Owens’ art works have also been included in group exhibits at:

Mr. Owens is along time member of and exhibitor at the Fig Tree Gallery in Fresno.
