Artist’s Statement

 

Whether I work with clay or fibers, my process is much like the writer or poet, who jots down a phrase, or sentence … a thought, idea, feeling or image…. and then I puts it aside for a while.  There is a certain “coming together” that inevitably seems to happen in the quiet passing of time.

Through the materials and processes of Craft Media I honor and connect with the work of craftspersons from around the world, both historical and contemporary, who create to bring beauty and awareness and the touch of the human hand into the activities of every day life.
